My journey to becoming an energy therapist
The start of my healing journey
My healing journey began long before I ever thought of becoming a practitioner. In response to experiences in the first twenty years of my life, I developed post-traumatic stress disorder — although I wasn’t aware of it at the time. After living with the symptoms for so long, I had begun to normalise them, yet I was constantly living on red alert.

Healing approaches and influences
Over time, a wide range of approaches helped me move from this heightened state of fear into feeling calm, safe, and grounded.
Psychotherapy, energy healing, and physical therapies all played an important part in helping me rediscover my true self.
I also read extensively, following the work of Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Mel Robbins, Brené Brown, and Gabby Bernstein, whose books and methods I found particularly helpful.
Wanting to deepen my understanding — and to continue supporting my own healing — I began studying the modalities that had helped me most.

I also followed the guidance of spiritual healers, guides, and energy practitioners, including Caroline Myss, Sadhguru, Sue Morter, Lisa Campion, Franz Stein, and Dr. Bradley Nelson.

Professional training & path to becoming an energy therapist
This path led me to become an energy therapist and teacher, so I could support others on their own healing journeys.
I am a certified Reiki practitioner and teacher, trained in traditional Japanese Reiki to Master Level with the British Academy of Reiki and the International House of Reiki.
I am also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner and Body Code Practitioner with Discover Healing, and I offer experiential wellness coaching.

Previous experience in the charity sector
Before this work, I spent many years in the charity sector, developing and leading green-space projects for urban, disadvantaged communities.
Much of my work also involved supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
This background gives me a deep understanding of the struggles people go through, as well as a strong foundation in client safety and safeguarding.

Philosophy of healing
Through my own journey, I’ve learned that whatever our history or current challenges, inner peace, confidence, and genuine joy are possible.
I love sharing the insights and techniques that changed my life, and I feel honoured to witness my clients grow, heal, and thrive.
Changing our inner world transforms the way we experience the outer world.
We cannot change what has happened in our past or what is currently happening around us, but we can change how we relate to it — and how we relate to ourselves.
This shift alone can create profound and positive change, helping us remain calm, grounded, and positive, even in turbulent times.
It was once believed that the brain became fixed in early adulthood. Neuroscience now shows that we can reshape and re-programme our neural pathways throughout our entire lives.
This means that with the right support, compassion, and tools, deep and lasting change is always possible.
I believe that another essential element of physical and emotional healing is self-love and compassion.
Learning to truly love and accept yourself allows you to become your own ally instead of your harshest critic.
Research shows that relating to ourselves with kindness has positive effects on our physical health as well as our emotional wellbeing.
I also find that self-compassion helps to soften the bumps in the road and positively affects how others relate to us too.
